Vacuum therapy (cuppingmassage)

Definition
Vacuum therapy - a method of treatment by the use of cupping glasses (bowls). During this procedure doctorset fire to cotton wool, put it for a short time inside the cupping glass and then puts it bore down on the patient's body. Because of the small inside pressure created by cupping glass, the outside air keeps the cupping glass down. Cupping glass sticks to the skin and pumps blood into this area. This facilitates the pain and some of the disease cures.

History of Vacuum therapy
The prototype of cupping glasses in their current form is considered to be hollow animal’s horn. They were used to suck the poison out of the body after the snake bites and toxins in the skin lesions. Over time, the horns have evolved and turned into bamboo cups, which were eventually replaced by glass bowls. Cupping massage techniques have evolved along with the construction of its main instrument. The exact origin of  cupping massage is unknown
