situation regarding development of Chinese medicine and Image Medicine in Russia in recent years, about their demand among the population, and also she advanced a deep analysis of teaching system in Traditional Chinese medicine and Qigong.
In her report, Olga Smirnova explained the essence of the original theory of ancient Chinese medicine - Image Medicine and described the basic directions of its development.
She noted that Qigong and other traditional Chinese health improvement systems (self-regulation) attracted the attention of the Russians for a long time, and so many people considered these methods as primary remedy for prophylaxis of health. She also emphasized that Image Medicine rapidly gaining popularity all over the world and especially in Russia. Professor Xu Mingtang trained over a thousand specialists of Image Medicine, who are working now in eighty cities of Russia. In order to strengthen and further develop Image Medicine in Russia, between Beijing Medical Research Institute "Kundawell" and chair of the Theory and methodology of health technology and physical culture of the East of the Urals State University of Physical Education were signed an agreement on cooperation in the area of training of Image Medicine specialists and Qigong instructors.
At the present time, Image medicine used in twenty-six countries.
Olga Smirnova also said that according to unofficial data, between the Russian and the Chinese governments, are preparing the programs on mutual cooperation and the Russian government hopes to include TCM in its program "For a Healthy Russia".
